Take a day off and save your business

Are you ready to grow your business, despite the challenges and pitfalls that seem determined to hold back our entrepreneurial aspirations? If this is you, then we need to see you at our FREE ‘Love Business, Love Growth’ conference taking place at the Burlington Hotel in Birmingham on Wednesday 7th October 2015.

Love Business, Love Growth is the over-arching theme of this inspiring Women In Business Conference. Here you can join other like-minded entrepreneurs, micropreneurs, industry professionals and business experts from small-to-medium enterprises from across the West Midlands and beyond. We’re bringing together some of the most successful industry leaders with some award-winning specialists in their respective fields who all share two things; a passion for business and a desire to help other people, like you, to succeed.

The National Black Women’s Network (NBWN), in association with NatWest Business Banking, are proud to be driving this change for good by bringing together the most dynamic collection of guests and speakers that this incredibly diverse and knowledgeable region can offer. We are fully embracing this opportunity to show the Midlands just how committed we all are to build real, sustainable growth in all our businesses.

Kick starting the day will be a presentation from Steve Wakelin, Regional Managing Director, Midlands & East of England BB followed by three expert panels facilitated by Sonia Brown MBE over the course of the day.  These highly interactive sessions will allow you to discuss and debate a wide range of topics that everyone will find both informative and thought-provoking.

The first one will focus on ‘Building and Maintaining Business Innovation and Leadership’ with presentations from Wade Lynn CBE, Cleone Foods Ltd; Professor Monder Ram OBE, Director at the Centre for Research in Ethnic Minority Entrepreneurship (CREME) and other business game changers including Julie Baker, Head of Enterprise, NatWest Business Banking; Tracey James representing ICAEW; Alan Rudge (former Leader of Birmingham City Council and Solicitor) and Pushpa Alexander, CEO Headz Up Business who will address the common, but often complex, challenges business owners face when striving for success and provide award winning solutions.

Next up, will be the ‘Raising the Bar’ panel, led by award-winning Manjit Kang, NatWest’s Diversity Manager. Manjit will bring together a formidable array of talent including business extraordinaire Joel Blake; Matt Perkins Head of Small Business, Freeagent; Siobhan Harper Nunes, CEO Shakti Women; Sal Wynter-Baxter, ROOT2TIP and founder of the Hairducation Academy

and Tim Rivett, Mentoring Manager, British Banking Association (BBA) who will share powerful insights, strategies and information about what it takes to increase the growth of your business now, and long into the future.

Our final panel, entitled ‘Business Disrupted’, will see Martin Levermore CBE, the CEO of Medical Devices Technology International, and his highly acclaimed fellow panelists Andy Lee Regional Enterprise Manager, M&EoE BB; Carol Stewart, CEO Abounding Solutions; Marica Lewenson, CEO WAITS; Sherill Fuller, Founder and CEO Ladies Lets Talk Biz and Sharon Warmington, Speaker, Author, Consultant; discuss the key factors for those seeking to break out and seek a new business path. We have assembled a dynamic collection of talent to help us all forge through the clutter and embrace the change that can lead business out of the mire and into the stratosphere.

If these three panels aren’t enough we have the UNConference Zone where attendees will hear stimulating workshops over lunch from Angela Small Conscious Vibes Magazine, Expo and Beauty Pageant and Laura Morrison, Principal Coach and Managing Director, the GameChanger Consultancy Ltd; whilst making use of the exhibitions and networking areas which will allow you to see, meet and interact with the very best the region has to offer. You can take this opportunity to build new, long-lasting relationships with your fellow delegates or enjoy some time inspiring your company’s best asset. You.

It really is an opportunity NOT to be missed. If you’d like to attend, you can book your FREE place by clicking this link, https://lovebusinesslovegrowth.eventbrite.co.uk. I look forward to seeing you there!
