Lorely Burt and Cllr Sherma Batson MBE DL CC Join Love Business, Love Growth Conference (OCT07)

As you may know, we are having our next Women in Business conference, which we’ve subtitled Love Business, Love Growth, on October 7th in Birmingham at the Burlington Hotel.

As part of this exciting event, we’ve gathered together three expert panels, all made up of industry leaders and business champions from some of the best businesses the West Midlands has to offer. We have a keynote speech from former Solihull MP Lorely Burt, who has been appointed the LibDem spokesperson for Business, Innovation and Skills and appointed to the House of Lords as Baroness Burt of Solihull in the County of West Midlands.

Our first panel of the day looks at how business owners can build and maintain innovation and leadership, so let’s take a look at what you can expect from it.

We all know running a business has its fair share of challenges. Almost from day one there are a myriad of obstacles to overcome and any number decisions that have to be made. As your business grows, those dilemmas only increase. You’d be forgiven for thinking that it’s just too much to cope with, but you don’t. You get up every day and fight for what you want and for a business that you believe in. The nation is full of incredible entrepreneurs like you and this is the panel for every single one of them.  They include:

  • Wade Lynn CBE, CEO, Cleone Foods Ltd
  • Prof. Monder Ram Director, Centre for Research in Ethnic Minority Entrepreneurship (CREME)
  • Julie Baker, Head of Enterprise, NatWest Business Banking
  • Tracey James, representing ICAEW
  • Honorary Alderman Alan Rudge LLB
  • Saqib Bhatti. President, Institute of Asian Businesses
  • Pushpa Alexadra, CEO, HeadzUp Business

There’s no harm in admitting the challenges you face can be difficult to overcome, which is why this panel is the perfect forum for our conference. We’ve gathered together 6 incredible business game-changers and senior executives from a richly diverse range of businesses. Together they have each been through all aspects of businesses, from brand-new start-ups to managing the growth of small to medium-sized enterprises through the banking sector. If you’re going through it, chances are they’ve already been through it, and will be there to share their experiences with you in a positive, empowering discussion-led panel.

Each one of them will have a unique insight into the difficulties business-owners face in 21st century Britain. From accountants to bankers, from solicitors to professors, the good news is we’ve been lucky enough to convince six of the best to join our panel. The even better news is that they are all willing to share their knowledge, their expertise and their blueprints for success with you, for FREE!  So book your place now at https://lovebusinesslovegrowth.eventbrite.co.uk

You have to admit, our panelists have a diverse range of skills, and all of them are willing to share it with the attendees at our conference.

At the Love Business Love Growth Women in Business conference we aim to tackle some of the broader subjects that impact on all our lives, like how entrepreneurs, banks and the government can come together to deliver bold changes to the way you run your business. It’s going to be a fascinating conversation and you can be part of it.

And that’s not all.  We have a guest presentation from Cllr Sherma Batson MBE DL CC

Mayor of Stevenage (2014-1015)
