The NBWN is a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising the status and position of black women in all walks of life.

We provide dynamic initiatives, enabling women from diverse
backgrounds and occupations to develop strong professional and social contacts; high quality training and education programmes;
leadership and national recognition.


Gee Bernard

Cllr Gee Bernard has actively campaigned for the rights of the Afro Caribbean community primarily in Croydon, since her arrival from Jamaica. She is based at the Croydon Afro Caribbean Family Organisation in Croydon, which has been responsible for a school aimed at children facing exclusion from the mainstream school system; the Croydon Summer Project aimed at children up to age of sixteen.
