East London businesses GetSet to Conquer Supply Chains

Business growth experts GetSet for Growth are launching a new initiative, up-skilling and preparing East London SMEs to access the supply chain opportunities they need to scale up their businesses.

The Procurement Toolbox is a brand new workshop series complete with tender support resources launching on Tuesday 6th September.

The series will shine a light on the requirements and best practices of accessing supply chains, giving ambitious SMEs the tools and skills they need to become more competitive and fit to supply.

Over the course of this unique series, businesses will have the chance to attend seminars presented by industry experts, corporate buyers and SMEs who have been successful in selling to large companies.

All essential topics for procurement success in different types of supply chains will be covered, as well as learning from sector specialists, such as construction and cyber security.

Businesses will begin expanding their skills at the launch event with the help of some of GetSet’s knowledgeable partners, including speakers from professional service giant KPMG, UK driver of inclusive procurement MSDUK, and strategic outsourcing and energy services company Mitie.

Attendees will learn from talks by like-minded businesses as they share their own pitfalls and success stories, tried and true methods and insider glimpses into the opportunities of large buyers and procurers.

“We want to give business owners the opportunity to interact, speak to and learn from their peers as well as large companies so they can confidently and compliantly complete an open tender or present their services or products to a buyer in a large organisation,” says Gregg Harding, GetSet for Growth East London Project Director.
“We recognise the importance of the traditional ‘Meet the Buyer’ approach and how many large buyers, through these and similar processes, allow SMEs access to their supply chains. In addition to giving businesses direct links to real, live opportunities, the Procurement Toolbox will also sign-post SMEs across East London to tenders, useful sources of information and tender resources, and provide hands on support to increase their ability to compete for, win and execute supply chain opportunities.”
