Topic for Today: The Effective Prayer

Prayer against Fear "And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. and the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain (was) full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha" (II Kings 6:17).
Prayer for God's Mercy "I beseech thee, O Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done (that which is) good in thy sight. and Hezekiah wept sore."
God's Response "Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, and have seen thy tears; behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord" (I Kings 20:3, 5b). When we pray to God about anything, He expects us to believe that He hears us and that He will do something about our situation. We may not receive an answer immediately; but God keeps His word and will always answer with - no, yes, wait, or even silence. What we are to do is to wait and trust in Him. God cannot fail, and He will always keep His word. Jesus said, "Have faith in God" and there has to be a reason for this admonition. It simply means that our prayer must be prefaced and filled with faith otherwise, God will not hear us (Hebrews 11:6). Why not trust in Him today for your miracle?
