That’s the big question that will be answered at the Grand Finale of the Miss Caribbean UK Beauty Pageant on Saturday 5th December at the prestigious Shaw Theatre on the Euston Road.
The pageant is about much more than physical beauty, it was launched last year to showcase and promote the Caribbean countries under one umbrella.
With its logo ‘Positively Promoting the Caribbean’ the event aims to raise awareness of issues relating to the Caribbean people in the UK and the wider Diaspora by inspiring, informing and uniting both those taking part and the UK audience.
Organisers Clayton and Jacqui Brown aim to use pageantry to unify, inspire, educate, entertain and celebrate the historical and cultural impact of the Caribbean with the United Kingdom.
They state that:
“MCUK is more than simply a beauty competition, our winner will be an ambassador for this culturally rich and beautiful part of the world. Last Year’s inaugural event saw Keeleigh Griffith, representing Barbados, come through the different stages of the pageant to be crowned the winner. She has enjoyed a hectic year, not only meeting celebrities and dignitaries at red carpet and networking events, but also flying to Barbados to celebrate “Crop over” and also being interviewed on the National TV station. “
Patrons will share in an unmissable night of culture and entertainment produced and directed by award winning stage director and choreographer, Reuben P Joseph.
There will also be more dignitaries and celebrated faces from sport, media, TV and film, music and politics eager to support the promotion and to hit the red carpet for the December pre-Christmas Grand Finals soirée
2015 will see 17 contestants competing for the title of the UK’s Queen of the Caribbean:
