As a business description, that sounds amazing, how do you do that?

We do this by looking at your relationship with money and how it affects your financial decision making.

Your value system and how that can prevent you from creating and having the life of your dreams; and finally we look at your limiting beliefs and how they can stop you from taking action.

Think of it as life coaching, but from a financial angle, holistically and practically.

What was the catalyst that made you decide to go into business?

In 2008 after being made redundant and travelling internationally to find a job I decided that I wanted to be the mistress of my destiny and create my own opportunities to grow and develop, plus create a legacy of wealth –internally and externally – to pass on.

If you don't like the position, size or placement of the photos, grab, move, rotate or resize them until you do!

What was holding you back from being an entrepreneur at the time?

Prior to this decision, I never ever saw myself as an entrepreneur. I didn’t think someone like me could become a business owner. It seemed too hard and sales scared me, due to a traumatic past experience working in telesales.

What was the best business advice you were given?

Not to get too attached to your business. It is an asset, as such you build it to sell it or at least allow it to evolve to pass onto others.

What is the most exciting thing happening in your sector right now?

Fintech is a very exciting thing happening in the world of finance. I recently wrote about it here —> https://blog.findawealthmanager.com/uk/fintech-and-new-female-consumers.

What are your customers demanding more of?

What my customers are demanding more of is easy to understand information on the new pension and how it affects them as well as directions on what to do.

In addition to this information on how to be more mindful of their money so they can have a better relationship with it and make more of it.

What social media tool are you using at the moment?

I am using Periscope quite a lot as it is an easy to use app, super engaging and a great way to connect with my audience far and wide

What is your take on personal business failures?

That even though you may be disappointed by your failures the lessons you’ll learn are the bricks on the road to success, as long as you are willing to learn from them because there is no success without failure; be it yours or someone else’s.

What is difference that is making the difference?

To be open minded to the various forms of new technologies coming out. One cannot become too complacent.

What book would you recommend for entrepreneurs?

The Success Principles by Jack Canfield is a great book for entrepreneurs. It is easy to read and full of great and motivational passages.

Favourite business quote?

One of my favourite quotes is by the author of the No. 1 personal finance book ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’.

“Without financial education, your money flows to those who profit most from your financial ignorance.” — Robert Kiyosaki

I apply this quote to both my business and personal life as ignorance is far more costly than risk; therefore I take the time to educate myself, be aware of what is happening around me regarding the economy and take appropriate action on the information garnered.

What next?

To keep spreading the financial word about money mindfulness and my personal success story with others so that they may be inspired to start their own wealth and success journey.

What exactly is Money Mindfulness and why is it important?

Mindfulness, in and of itself, is being conscious of what you’re doing, purposeful in how you do it and being present whilst doing it.

In the context of money, this is broken down into four parts:

  1. Money mindset.

  2. Money mastery.

  3. Money management

  4. Money mission.

It is important because with more women earning more than ever before and the emergence of the she-economy, there is no time like now to get in tune with your money, understand what it means to you and how you want it to work for you.
